I’m loving it! :-)
If one ever asked me why I play golf, I would’ve answered it, "It’s a hidayah! ;-)". Ask any Moslems in your surroundings if you don’t really get what it means..
Since I picked it up ’bout four months ago my interest towards this sport is just getting stronger at the moment. "A weekend-warrior", said one of my golf buddies. The good thing of me-being-so-passionate-of-it-that-me-to-dedicate-my-whole-weekend-to-it is that.. now I’m so quit of "night life". How would you play a 36-holes of two good rounds of golf starting at 6 a.m. if you only get 2 or 3 hours sleep? So it’s easy to say "No, thanks!" when someone asks me to hang-out-’til-dawn on Friday or Saturday night.
Another good thing is, I manage to cut 15 strokes off of my handicap in a quite short period. I seem to fit to the game in one way or another that for most beginners like me, this kind of reward is critical to keep us motivated and hang in there to stay learning, improving, and being challenged to achieve more. I’m now a 24-handicapper and hopefully shoot regularly around mid-80s by the fourth quarter of this year. I really wish to make a faster progress but being-a-weekend-warrior I have to be more realistic with my target.
